(WATLINGTON AREA) (SPEED LIMITS) ORDER 20"
NOTICE is given that Oxfordshire County Council proposes to make the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The effect of the order - due to road safety concerns raised by Watlington Parish Council - is to introduce a 20mph speed zone in Watlington as follows: Replace the existing 30mph speed limit with a new 20mph speed limit zone on Pyrton Lane (and those roads leading off) between its junction with the B480 Cuxham Road to toe south, and at the northern end to the current 30/60mph terminal point 120 metres northeast of St Leonards. The Oxfordshire County Council (Watlington Area) (Speed Limits) Order 2013 will be revoked/replaced as appropriate Accompanying the reduced limit a number of associated traffic calming features are also proposed to be constructed on Pyrton Lane, comprising:
Full width flat-top humps (to be 75mm high, with a 1:12 gradient & have a 2.5 metre plateau length):
? Approx. 10 metres northeast of its junction with Lower Courtyard,
? Approx. 8 metres southwest of its junction with Middle Courtyard.
Centrally located speed cushion (to be 75mm high & 2 metres wide):

Objections to the proposals and other representations specifying the grounds on which they are made may be sent in writing to the address below by 31 December 2021.
