NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF AN ORDER PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER HIGHWAYS ACT 1980, WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981 The Oxfordshire County Council, Ardley Footpath No. 22 (part), Public Path Diversion and Definitive Map and Statement
Modification Order 2021 On 15th November 2021, the Oxfordshire County Council confirmed the above Order under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 and section 53A(2) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. The effect of the Order as confirmed is to modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by diverting Ardley Footpath No 22 running from the B430 (Station Road) opposite Church Road at OS Grid Reference SP 5427 2731 east-south-eastward for approximately 50m to SP 5432 2730 to a new line running from the B430 (Station Road) opposite Church Road at OS Grid Reference SP 54272 27310 east-south-eastwards for 12m to SP 54283 27307, north-eastwards for 7m to SP 54289 27311 and then east-south-eastwards for 33m to SP 5432 2730 where It re-joins the existing footpath as shown on the Order plan.
It Is not possible to view the Order at local council offices as they are temporarily closed due to the C0V1D19 pandemic. A copy of the Order and the Order map may be: -

The Order came into force on the date of confirmation but if any person aggrieved by the Order wants to question Its validity, or that of any provision contained In it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980 (the Act), as amended, and/or the powers of section 53A of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 (WCA) or on the ground that any requirement of either Act or of any regulation made under them has not been complied with In relation to the Order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act and as applied by s53A(7) WCA, within six weeks from 25th November 2021 make an application to the High Court.
