Notice of Temporary Traffic Order
Abingdon & Sutton Courtenay, Tollgate Rd & Abingdon Rd Prohibition of Through Traffic Date of Order: 26 April 2021 Coming into force: 29 April 2021 This Order is being introduced because of excavation works for fibre optic cables which is anticipated to take 5 weeks to be completed. The effect of the order is to temporarily prohibit vehicles using Tollgate Road and Abingdon Road. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative route (North) for traffic is via Abingdon Road - Culham Road, -The Bridge - Bridge Street - East St Helen Street - High Street - Ock Street - Drayton Road - Abingdon Road -The Green - High Street - Drayton Road - Brook Street -Church Street - Appleford Road. The alternative route (South) for traffic is via Appleford Road - Church Street -Brook Street - Drayton Road - High Street - The Green -Abingdon Road - Drayton Road - Ock Street - Stratton way - Stert Street - Bridge Street - The Bridge - Culham Road-Abingdon Road.
This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref.T8420/MR)

Notice of Temporary Footpath Closure
Long Wittenham, Footpath 287/2/10 (Local name North Field Lane) Date of Order: 26 April 2021 Coming into force: 1 May 2021 This Order is being introduced because of earthworks to facilitate wetland creation project (River of Life II) which is anticipated to take 6 months to complete. The effect of the Order is to close temporarily Footpath No. 287/2/10 southeast of Clifton Hampden (Local name North Field Lane). Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for pedestrian access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of footpath. Appropriate signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. A nearby local diversion route is signed. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 6 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref .17541/MR)

Ewelme, High Street & Parson Lane
Prohibition of Through Traffic
Date of Order: 26 April 2021 Coming into force: 6 May 2021 This Order is being introduced because of installation (in sections) of fibre cable ducting which is anticipated to take 7 weeks to be completed. The effect of the order is to temporarily prohibit vehicles using parts of High Street and Parsons Lane. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative route for traffic is via Green Lane - Clay Lane - Beggarsbust Hill - Days Lane - Unnamed Road towards Ewelme Down Farm -High Street and vice-versa. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref.T8445/MR)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order
Cholsey, Wimber Brook Footpath Closure Date of Order: 26 April 2021 Coming into force: 4 May 2021 This Order is being introduced because of Railway retention wall improvement works which is anticipated to be completed 18 June 2021. The effect of the Order is to close temporarily Wimber Brook footpath underneath the railway northwest of West End. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. The diversion route will be signed locally. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 6 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner.
