(take) water Martin Antony Smith has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application, in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006. The application is to vary licence serial number: 8/37/43TS/0045 which authorises the abstraction of water from inland water known as Goldsand Bridges Ditch at Bumham Wick, Burnham On Crouch, Essex between National Grid ReferencesTQ 97286 9231 &TQ 96641 95536 and from an associated unnamed pond at National Grid Reference TQ 97478 96311. The variation applied for is: To remove the summer abstraction (April to October) of 13,920 cubic metres per year used for the purpose of spray irrigation. The second part of the application is to add 13,920 cubic metres to the annual quantity of the winter abstraction (November to March inclusive) on the licence for filling a reservoir for subsequent irrigation. The annual abstraction volume for this purpose will therefore become 29,100 cubic metres (increased from 15,180 cubic metres). There will be no change to the other rates of abstraction or other purposes on the licence.
