Merton No.295/1 SWendlebury No.398/2 Date of Order: 14 October 2019 Came into force: 18 October 2019 This Order continues in force a footpath closure put in place on 27 September 2019. The order was introduced because of bridge replacement and embankment works. Due to unanticipated difficulties including additional culvert work it is now anticipated to be completed 31 May 2021. The effect of the Order is to close temporarily Footpath Nos.295/1 & 398/2 between Merlon and Wendlebury. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for pedestrian access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of footpath. Appropriate signs are displayed to indicate the measures are in force. There is no official off-road pedestrian diversion route.
This Order, with ttie consent of trie Secretary of State for Transport will remain in force until 31 May 2021 or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref. T7313/RAG)
Notice of Temporary 30mph Speed Limit
Mixbury, Featherbed Lane Date of Order: 2 March 2020 Came into force: 9 March 2020 This Order was introduced for road safety during junction and improvement works which were anticipated to be completed 1 January 2021. Unexpected delays and a planned winter shut down mean the works will continue to November 2021. The effect of the Order is to temporarily reduce the national 60mph speed limit to 30mph from Church Lane from approx. 120 metres southwest of Church Lane north-eastwards for 730 metres. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 12 October 2020 Oxfordshire County Council made the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The effect of the order, which comes into force on 19 October is to introduce new parking prohibitions and restrictions in various roads in Bicester.
1. Double yellow lines (DYLs - prohibition of waiting at anytime):
Barry Avenue - all sides at its junction with Graham Road, & at Margaret Close south side; and at Maud Close south side, and at Ewart Close south side, and at Raymond Road south side, and atTitchener Close south side and at Fane Close south side. Blake Road - north side, a section of DYLs to be removed east of Taylor Close. New DYLs south side for 63 metres east from Woodfield Road; north side between Woodfield Road and Brashfield Road; and north side on the bend north of Woodfield Road.
Kingsley Road - for its full length. May Tree Close throughout all sides.
Browning Drive - east side outside Kingsley Road; on both sides and into junction with Bunyan Road. Hemingway Drive at its junction with Blenheim Drive and opposite Huxley Close. Lambourne Crescent around the edge of the roundabout island.
Longfields - extending various different lengths from either end of the road on both sides, and at its junction with Fallowfields; also both sides between Withington Road and Linden Road.
Shakespeare Drive - both sides from its roundabout junction with Middleton Stoney Road northwards for 110 metres; and at its junction with Wear Road. Withington Road, south side for 58 meters from Longfields.
2. No Waiting 11am to 12noon Monday to Friday:
Maple Road - west side north of Withington Road for 72 metres. Longfields - west side from Green Close to Linden Road, and west side north of Fallowfields. Green Close - all of the north side. Lamboume Crescent - all of the west side. Fallowfields - along the south side and part of the east side. Windmill Avenue - south side west of Buckingham Road for 199 metres.
3. No Waiting 12 Noon to 1.00pm Monday to Friday: Windmill Avenue - north side west of Buckingham Road for 201 metres.
Maple Road - north side for 76 metres from Withington Road. Longfields - east side from Green Close to Launton Road. Lamboume Crescent - all of the east side. Green Close - along all of its south side. Fallowfields - along the north side and part of the west side.
The Oxfordshire County Council (Bicester) (Traffic Regulation) Order 1992 is further amended accordingly. Documents giving more details of the order are available for public inspection online at:
