ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Chinnor, Station Road Prohibition of Vehicles Date of Order: 27 July 2020 Coming into force: 4 August 2020 This Order is being introduced because of Gas Main reinforcement works which are anticipated to take 7 weeks to complete. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in that part of Station Road from its junction with Lower Road B4009 to roundabout with Church Road. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative route for traffic is via a combination of: Station Road -Turn right into B4012 Wenham Road - Left onto A40 London Road - Left into B4009 High Street - Crowell Road - Chinnor Road - Oakley Road - Station Rd and vice versa. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref. T7915/MR)_

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Wallingford - Footpath Closure No.25 Date of Order: 3 February 2020 Came into force: 11 February 2020 This Order was introduced because of housing construction works which are now anticipated to be completed 30 September 2020.The effect of the Order is to close temporarily Footpath No.25 (between Brightwell-cum-Sotwell and Calvin Thomas Way). Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for pedestrian access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of footpath. Appropriate signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. The alternative route is signed locally. This Order, with the consent of the Secretary of State for Transport will remain in force until 30 September 2020 or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref. T7234/AC)_

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Warborough, Thame Road Prohibition of Through Traffic Date of Order: 27 April 2020 Coming into force: 3 August 2020 This Order is being introduced because of sewer works which are anticipated to be completed on 14 August 2020. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit through traffic proceeding in Thame Road. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative route for traffic is via the B480-B4015-A4074 Oxford Road and vice versa. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner (Ref.T7707/RAG)_

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Didcot, Lady Grove Prohibition of Through Traffic Date of Order: 10 August 2020 Coming into force: 17 August 2020 This Order is being introduced because of gas main replacement works which are anticipated to be completed 7 December 2020. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in the whole length of Lady Grove. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative route for traffic is via B4016, Appleford Road, Church Street, Drayton Road, B4017, Abingdon Road, High Street, A4130 and vice versa. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref.7871/AC)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Harwell Bridleway 243/19 Icknield Way Closure Date of Order: 20 July 2020 Coming into force: 31 July 2020 This Order is being introduced because of remediation work taking place at the Harwell site which is anticipated to be completed 31 July 2022.

The effect of the order is to close that part of Harwell Bridleway 243/19 (Icknield Way) west of Newbury Road. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for pedestrian access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of bridleway. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. The alternative route[s] for those affected is via Newbury Road, Curie Avenue Eight Street Icknield Way and vice versa. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 6 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref.7480/AC)

? Raised Table 'Informal' Crossing Point - full width flat top hump 4m long x 75mm high, with 2x1.2 metre ramps with gradients no steeper than 1 in 15, to be located approximately 40 metres east of the junction with Manor Road.



? Build-Out Feature - to be 2.5m wide (narrowing the carriageway to 3.25 metres) with 2 x Glasdon bollards with retroreflective bands, to be located at the existing give-way road markings by 'The Arcade' approximately 47 metres south-west of the junction with Cleeve Road.



? In addition to the above features, realignment & improvement of the footway adjacent to Nos.1 & 10 High Street is also planned.



? All dimensions are approximate, taken from the centre of the junction to the centre of the feature.

NOTICE IS GIVEN that Oxfordshire County Council proposes to make the above orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The Orders will further amend the Oxfordshire County Council (South Oxfordshire District) (Disabled Persons Parking Places) Consolidation Order 2006, the Oxfordshire County Council (Vale of White Horse District Excluding the Parish of North Hinksey) (Disabled Persons Parking Places) Consolidation Order 2006, and the (Various Roads -South Oxfordshire) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting and Permitted Parking) Order 2008. The effects of the proposals are to provide additional Disabled Persons Parking Places (and remove 2 no longer required) as outlined below.
