Notice of Temporary Traffic Order
Sutton Courtenay, Brook Street/Drayton Road Prohibition of Through Traffic Date of Order: 4 May 2020 Coming into force: 11 May 2020 This Order is being introduced because of sewer pipe works in Brook Street from the junction with Chapel Lane to Drayton Road Pumping Station which is anticipated to be completed on 9 July 2020. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit through traffic proceeding in the whole length of Brook Street and Drayton Road. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative route for traffic is via Church Street -Appleford Road - B4016 Main Road - Lady Grove - A4130 - High Street-B4017 Abingdon Road - High Street - B4016 Drayton Road and vice versa. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref. A4130(DIDCOT)-PROPOSED TOUCAN CROSSING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Oxfordshire County Council as the local highway authority under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers proposes to construct the following feature within northern Didcot to help improve pedestrian and pedal cyclist safety in respect to the new housing development:
A Toucan crossing (signal-controlled crossing for use by both pedestrians and pedal cyclists) at the following location:
? A4130 (Northeast) - approx. 40* metres west of its roundabout junction with Mersey Way.
* All dimensions are approximate, taken from the centre of the junction to the centre of the feature.

Objections to the proposal, specifying the grounds on which they are made, and any other representations should be sent in writing to the address below (or via the web address above) no later than 5 June 2020.
