NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF AN ORDER PUBLIC PATH EXTINGUISHMENT AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER HIGHWAYS ACT 1980, WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981
The Oxfordshire County Council, Lower Heyford Footpath No. 6 (part-width), Public Path Extinguishment and Definitive Map and Statement Modification Order 2019
On 18th February 2020, the Oxfordshire County Council confirmed the above Order, made on 25th November 2019, under section 118 of the Highways Act 1980 and section 53A(2) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. The effect of the Order as confirmed is to modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by deleting part of the width of Lower Heyford FP6 (between 3.4m and 6m) between Follyview and Paines Cottage running from OS Grid Ref SP 48768 24785, southwards for approximately 35m to SP 48776 24752 as shown on the Order map. The part-extinguishment would retain a path width of between 3 m and 1.8 m.

Oxfordshire County Council, Countryside Records, County Hall, New Road, Oxford OX11ND at the price of £3.50 per copy The Order came into force on the date of confirmation but if any person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980 (the Act), as amended, and/or the powers of section 53A of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 (WCA) or on the ground that any requirement of either Act or of any regulation made under them has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act and as applied by s53A(7) WCA, within six weeks from 27th February 2020 make an application to the High Court.
