THE A34 TRUNK ROAD (DRAYTON) (CONVERSION OF LAY-BY INTO MAINTENANCE HARDSTANDING) ORDER 2020
Highways England Company Limited hereby gives notice that it intends to make an Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1) and (2), and 4(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 on the A34 in the County of Oxfordshire. The effect of the Order would be to convert the lay-by adjacent to the A34 northbound carriageway between points 782 metres and 947 metres north of Kiln Lane (Drayton) overbridge into a Maintenance Hardstanding as defined by the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges Volume 6, Section 3, Part 3. A copy of the draft Order, a plan illustrating the proposal and a statement explaining why Highways England Company Limited proposes to make the Order may be inspected during office hours at -
(i) Oxfordshire County Council, County Hall, Ron Groves House, 23 Oxford Road, Kidlington, OX5 2BP
(ii) Vale of White Horse District Council, 135 Eastern Avenue, Milton Park, Milton,
until the end of the objection period. Any person wishing to object or make representations to Highways England Company's proposal should send, not later than 12th March 2020, a written statement of his or her objection or representation and of the grounds thereof to the person and address at the foot of this notice, quoting the reference 'HE/SE/A34/NB LAYBY'. Information provided in response to this consultation, including personal information, may be subject to publication or disclosure in accordance with the access to information regimes (these are primarily the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA), the Data Protection Act 2018 (DPA) and the Environmental Information Regulations 2004).
