Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Kingham, Cozens Lane Prohibition of Through Traffic Date of Order: 20 January 2020 Coming into force: 27 January 2020 This Order is being introduced because of fibre optic cable works which are anticipated to be completed on 3 February 2020. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in the whole length of Cozens Lane. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative route for traffic is via West Street & Church Street and vice versa. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner (Ref. T7186/RAG)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Burford, Westhall Hill Prohibition of Through Traffic Date of Order: 20 January 2020 Coming into force: 27 January 2020 This Order is being introduced because of installation of Fibre Optic cables which are anticipated to be completed on 13 February 2020. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in the whole length of Westhall Hill. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are inforce. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative route for traffic is via the A361 & A424. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner (Ref. Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Woodstock, Upper Brook Hill

Prohibition of Through Traffic Date of Order: 3 February 2020 Coming into force: 10 February 2020 This Order is being introduced because of water main works which is anticipated to take 1 month to complete. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in Upper Brook Hill. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative route for traffic is via Brook Hill - Union Street - Hensington Road - Oxford Street and vice versa. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner (Ref. (BURFORD SPEED LIMITS) ORDER 20**

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Oxfordshire County Council proposes to make the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The order will also revoke the existing Oxfordshire County Council (Burford) (Restricted Roads) Order 2001, the Oxfordshire County Council (Burford) (Various Roads) (40mph Speed Limit) Order 2006, and the Oxfordshire County Council (Burford) (Restricted Roads) (Amendment) Order 2007 and consolidate them into the proposed order.

The effect of the order, as a result of road safety concerns is to introduce a 20mph speed limit throughout the town centre with corresponding adjustments to the 30mph limit. There will also be amendments to the lengths of the existing 40mph limits on the approaches to the town.

A40 OXFORD ROAD (BURFORD)

PROPOSED PUFFIN CROSSING

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Oxfordshire County Council as

the local highway authority under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers proposes also proposes to construct a Puffin Crossing (a signalised crossing for use by pedestrians) to help improve pedestrian safety in the area:

? A40 Oxford Road - approx. 205* metres south-east of the junction with Tanners Lane.



? The existing pedestrian footbridge over the A40 Oxford Road will be demolished.



? All dimensions are approximate, taken from the centre of the junction to the centre of the crossing.
