CARTERTON ROAD/STATION ROAD/ELM GROVE (BRIZE NORTON) PROPOSED TRAFFIC CALMING BUILD-OUTS

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Oxfordshire County Council under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 & the Highways Act 1980 (section 90) proposes to construct the following traffic calming features within Brize Norton, these proposals update those originally consulted on in May & June 2019, and are in response to residential development within the area:

? Kerbed build-outs:



o Carterton Road (approx. 6m long by 2m wide) - the build-out will be on the north side of the carriageway approx. 145 metres* south-west of its junction with Manor Road. Priority will be given to traffic travelling south-westwards out of the village.

Carterton Road (approx. 6m long by 2m wide) - the build-out will be on the north side of the carriageway approx. 145 metres* south-west of its junction with Manor Road. Priority will be given to traffic travelling south-westwards out of the village.

oStation Road (approx. 7m long by 2m wide) - the build-out will be on the west side of the carriageway approx. 250 metres* south of its junction with the Honeyham Close. Priority will be given to traffic travelling southwards out of the village.

Station Road (approx. 7m long by 2m wide) - the build-out will be on the west side of the carriageway approx. 250 metres* south of its junction with the Honeyham Close. Priority will be given to traffic travelling southwards out of the village.

o Elm Grove (approx. 7m long by 2 wide) - the build-out exiting the village will be on the south side of the carriageway approx. 135 metres* north-east of its junction with Minster Road. Priority will be given to traffic travelling north-eastwards out of the village

* All dimensions are approximate, taken from the centre of the junction to the centre of the feature.

Objections to the proposal, specifying the grounds on which they are made, and any other representations should be sent in writing to the address below (or via the web address above) no later than 20 December 2019. The County Council will consider objections and representations received in response to this Notice. They may be disseminated widely for these purposes and made available to the public. (Ref.
