(OXFORD, WALTON STREET) (PROHIBITION OF MOTOR VEHICLES) (EXPERIMENTAL) ORDER 2019
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 4 November 2019 Oxfordshire County Council made the above experimental Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the Order is to close the southern end of Walton Street at its junction with Beaumont Street and Worcester Street. The Order will come into force on 18th November 2019 and will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months. The Order contains provisions allowing the County Council's Director for Communities/Infrastructure Delivery to modify or suspend the Order, or any provisions of the Order in accordance with section 10(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act. or in person at County Hall, Oxford, OX11ND, between 9am and 4.30pm Monday to Friday. If you wish to question the validity of the experimental order or any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on grounds that any requirement of the Act or of any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to this Order, you may within 6 weeks from 4 November 2019 apply to the High Court for this purpose. The Council will be considering in due course whether the provisions of the experimental Order should be continued in force indefinitely Any person may object to the making of an Order for the purposes of such indefinite continuation within a period of 6 months:
a) beginning with the day on which the experimental Order comes into force, or
b) If that Order is varied by any subsequent order made by the Council or modified by the Council's Director pursuant to section 10(2) of the 1984 Act, beginning with the day on which the variation or modification comes into force.
Any such objection must be in writing and state the grounds on which it is made and all objections and other representations must be sent to the address given below (quoting Ref: AK/12.6.320) within the relevant time period given above. The Council will consider objections and representations received in response to this Notice. They may be disseminated widely for these purposes and made available to the public. (CHARLBURY, B4437 FOREST ROAD RIVER BRIDGE) (7.5 TONNE WEIGHT RESTRICTION) ORDER 20**
NOTICE IS GIVEN that Oxfordshire County Council proposes to make the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The Forest Road River Bridge is subject of a temporary 7.5t structural weight restriction pending consideration of structural works as part of a program of improvements to various bridges. It is proposed to make this restriction permanent for longevity of the bridge.
