(OXFORD, ABBEY ROAD AND CRIPLEY ROAD) (PROHIBITION OF BUSES) (EXPERIMENTAL) ORDER 2019
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 14 October 2019 Oxfordshire County Council made the above order under Section 10 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. As a result of concerns by residents in Abbey Road and Cripley Road, it is intended to prohibit buses from using both roads off Botley Road as a parking or turning area between 10am and 6pm on all days. This experimental measure will be monitored and findings reported to the CounciTs Transport Committee after at least 6 months, on a date to be arranged. This Experimental Order will come into force on 28 October and will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months.
The Order contains provisions allowing the Director for Communities/Infrastructure Development to modify or suspend the Order or any provisions of the Order in accordance with Section 10(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The Council will be considering in due course whether the provisions of the experimental Order should be continued in force indefinitely. If the provisions of this order are made permanent the measures will be incorporated into the Oxfordshire County Council (City of Oxford) (Central Area) (Traffic Management) (Consolidation) Order 2003 (as amended) which will be further amended accordingly. Any person may object to the making of an order for the purposes of such indefinite continuation within a period of 6 months (a) beginning with the day on which the Experimental Amendment Order comes into force (i.e. 28 October 2019) or (b) if that Order is further varied by any order made by the Council or modified by the Director for Communities/Infrastructure Delivery of the Council pursuant to section 10(2) of the 1984 Act, beginning with the day on which the variation or modification comes into force.

If you wish to question the validity of the Experimental Amendment Order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on grounds that any requirement of this Act or of any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to this Order, you may within 6 weeks from 14 October 2019 apply to the High Court for this purpose.
