ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 -SECTION 14(1) Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Eynsham, Witney Road Temporarily allow access for HGVs

Date of Order: 29 July 2019 Coming into force: 5 August 2019 This Order is being introduced because of public safety concerns regarding access for HGVs which are anticipated to take up to 18 months to complete. The effect of the Order is to temporarily allow access to HGV vehicles proceeding along Witney Road as far as Thornbury Road to and from the A40.

Additionally a point restriction to the south of Thornbury Road, prohibiting HGV traffic from proceeding further south on Witney Road at a point 750m from its junction with A40 for a distance of 5 metres.

These are a variation to the Oxfordshire County Council (Various Roads, Eynsham) (Prohibition of Heavy Commercial Vehicles) Order 1983

Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.

This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner T6897/RAG
