HEAVENS Mary Evelyn My wife Mary died at Sir Michael Sobell Hospice on Monday, 3rd August 2015. A private Family Service was held at South Oxfordshire Crematorium on Thursday 11th August 2015 attended by 50 Family Members and this was followed by a Service of the Celebration for Mary's Life at St Laurence Church Appleton. First, I would like to thank all those who made both these occasions so wonderful. They are too numerous to mention individually but they all know who I mean. Secondly my thanks to all our lovely Friends who have given Mary and I such generous support over this last year or more since she was diagnosed with Cancer. I am so grateful to you all. Thirdly, a very special thanks to the Doctors, Nurses, Social Workers, Chaplaincy and a myriad of Support Staff at Sobell House who gave Mary such wonderful palliative care in the last 3 months of her life. Your expertise and the caring service you provide for the terminally ill is second to none. Thank you also for supporting me and my Family through this time. Finally, my Family. Whether you called her Mum, Nana, Aunty or just Mary I am so proud of you all and I am sure that she would be also. I would invite further Donations in the memory of Mary's life for Sobell House Hospice Charity. Donations may be made by sending them to Edward Carter Funeral Directors, 107 South Avenue, Abingdon, Oxfordshire, OX14 1QS. DAVID HEAVENS.
