JONES Des‘Dogger’ Passed peacefully away at home on 15th July 2011 after a very short illness, with his loving partner by his side. Much loved partner of Cherry, beloved son of Pam and the late Peter, and a dear brother, dad and grampy. Funeral service to take place at Oxford Crematorium on Tuesday 2nd August at 12:00noon. No black clothing by request. Close family flowers only please, but donations if desired to Macmillan Nurses c/o S & R Childs Funeral Services, 69 London Road, Headington OX3 9AA.

Sign in to add a tributeHaving moved away from Marston many years ago I only get news via the Oxford Mail or my sister, Kate.
As children my brothers and I were very friendly with the Jones boys.
We had great fun birds nesting, fishing, collecting fag packets, camping and swimming at the "Duck Pond" or Hinksey Lakes. We lived during a time where we could experience things that kids today can only dream about.
I will never forget the great respect Des showed to our family when in 1986 he attended my Mum's funeral, a real class act.
Sincere condolences to Family and Friends.
