GOFF Doris May (née Maccabee) Passed away peacefully on 9th March 2011 in Westbury Grange Nursing Home, Newport Pagnell aged 90 years. Beloved wife of Kenneth, mother of Jeremy, Stephen, Andrew and Michael, much loved and sadly missed by her family and friends. Family funeral service will be held at Crownhill Crematorium, Milton Keynes on 24 March at 1.15 p.m. followed by Memorial Service at St. Peter and St. Paul, Botley, Oxford on 25 March at 2.30 pm. Family flowers only please, donations if desired for Sobell House Hospice, Oxford, c/o H. W. Mason & Sons, 9 High St, Newport Pagnell, MK16 8AR.

I first met Mrs Goff (I never knew her name was Doris) when I moved to Oxford from Northwich in Cheshire. Jeremy was the first friend I made at the new school and I soon met his Mum. A most marvellous and welcoming person; always very kind, always unflustered and very proud of her boys. I am saddened by her not being with us any more but would prefer to remember her in the earlier years as one of the most happy, steady and sensible 'Mums' it has been my pleasure to have known. Condolences to family and friends.
