DANCEY Gillian Patricia (nee WEEDON) It is with great regret that we announce that lovely Gillian has passed away peacefully, among her closest family, at the Sobell House Hospice on September 26, aged 59. Gill fought a hugely courageous battle against painful cancer for over a year. She will be deeply missed by her beloved husband Keith, and her dearest Mother Pat, Aunt Jean and Uncle John. Gill was a true daughter of West Hanney, attending St James C of E Primary and Segsbury Secondary schools. Gill started work at the Atlas Computer Laboratory, becoming Administrator for both Informatics and Isis Divisions at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory, and eventually Administrator for Theoretical Physics, University of Oxford. The funeral service will take place on Tuesday, 12 October at St James the Great Church, West Hanney OX12 0LP at 13.30 hours. Family flowers only please, donations if desired for Cancer Research UK c/o Edward Carter (FD), 107 South Avenue, Abingdon, OX14 1QS. It is through scientific research only that we may begin to defeat this cruel disease.
