ALCOCK John Of Leicester, formerly of Oxford Passed away peacefully on 30th May 2021, aged 75 years, at the Leicester Royal Infirmary. Beloved brother of Mary, loving uncle to Alison, Sally, Marie, Pete and Juan. Will be sadly missed by all his family and friends. John will be fondly remembered in Oxford for his time as an Oxford in Bloom Judge, a panellist on BBC Radio Oxford Gardeners Question Time, a regular attender at Oxford City Stadium for the Speedway and Greyhounds, a member of Oxford United and a retired City Council employee. John's funeral service will take place at 1:30pm on Monday 28th June 2021 at Gilroes Cemetery Chapel, Leicester followed by interment in Gilroes Cemetery. A webcast of the service will be available and details may be obtained from the funeral director. I worked with John on OCC parks for many years, he always had time to pass on his knowledge or just have a chat about football, a true gentleman who will be missed by many.

John was a stalwart of local football and Chairman of Falcons FC. He was always willing to give up his time to help where he could. Also a dedicated Us fan over many years. A real gent and top bloke. RIP John.
