PENWARDEN David John Howard Passed away in his sleep on Monday 8th February 2021, after months of illness, at the age of 88. He will be sadly missed by his wife Lydia his children Sarah and Charles and their families. A resident of Iffley, Oxford, for more than forty years, where he came to work for the European School of Management (EAP), he was a lifelong activist for the Liberal Democrats and one-time city councillor. He believed strongly in the public good and was closely involved with many local associations and causes, including the Friends of Iffley, Rose Hill school, Saint Augustine's School, Iffley village shop, and the Allotments committee. A private service will be held at St. Mary's Church, Iffley, at 11.30 on 23 February. No flowers, donations to St. Mary's Church or BBOWT may be sent c/o Sandra Homewood Funerals, 14 Cherwell Drive, Marston, OX3 0LY
