PILKINGTON Anthony Died of heart failure on February 13th 2021. A charming and selfless father, friend and family man. He shall be hugely missed by his three sons and other family and friends here and in Switzerland. His 40 years of service to Jesus College Oxford means that his absence will also be felt strongly by his ex-colleagues and ex-students.

Please add "school friends" to the list of those who mourn his passing. I shared a classroom with him from 1950 to 1957. He wore his enormous academic talent very lightly. He took delight in pranks and enjoyed any anti establishment activities that were hatched in those more Spartan days. I wish to pass on to his family sincere condolences for their ,and our,loss.
