BEARD Francis John (known as John) 1935-2020 John Beard, retired heating engineer and Clerk of Works, of Eynsham Road, Cassington, passed away suddenly at home on Friday 2nd October 2020. He was well read, enjoyed a good debate and was interested in many things, including growing veg on his allotment, taking his Humber Sceptre car to bits and putting it back together again and making wine. He also supported the Royal British Legion for many years. He is survived by his wife Margaret, their children Sarah, Ellen and Patrick, grandchildren Catherine (Kate), Lucy, Camilla (Millie), Nell, Sean and George and great grandsons, Jacob, Alex and Theo. There will be a private family funeral, but donations if desired for the Royal British Legion poppy appeal, may be sent c/o Greens Funeral Services, 21 High Street, Eynsham, OX29 4HE or made via the tribute page at www.greensfunerals.co.uk
