ROBINSON Dr John Richard Late of Banbury Road, Oxford and Broad Street, Bampton. Born 17 October 1927 in Lower Slaughter, Gloucestershire, died peacefully at home 20 May 2020 in Bampton. Beloved husband of Catherine (née Ledwith) and father of Margaret, Shaun, Timothy and Nicola. Deeply mourned by his loving family and wide circle of friends.

John was an exceptional man and we knew this as soon as we met him. We moved next door to John and Margaret in 2014 and soon discovered the professional connexion as we are also both psychiatrists. We shared stories about working in mental health services many times and learned a great deal from his experiences and whole attitude to mental health and appreciating and enjoying life. We kept in touch with John after he moved from Banbury Road to Bampton and feel very sad to hear of his death and send condolences to John's family members. Here is a photograph of the climbing roses which we have enjoyed particularly over the past few months. The roses visit us every year and remind us of John who planted them way before we moved in to our Banbury Road house. We were wondering if you have found one of his many friends to write an obituary in one of the medical journals and would be happy to help in any way with Remembering John's life
