Camerons should be thankful

So David Cameron, his family, friends and police security team drove away from a pub leaving his daughter behind (yesterday’s Oxford Mail).

Having spent the past 40 years shepherding children on to school buses and obsessively counting heads, I can say that they should be thankful they are not teachers, who would be in line for disciplinary action if they were to make the same mistake.

There could well be some teachers who would raise a wry smile if Mr Cameron were to invite Michael Gove, the Education Secretary, to Sunday lunch and drive off while he was in the lavatory.

Quite right, a teacher would must probally have been sacked, and the parents demanding her head on a block if this had happened on a school trip. Just because its the Tory Toff prime minister, nothing happens. If this had been a family on a council housing estate, social servies would hve been broughtin and took the kids away.
