Questions over lessons

THIS is about all those letters to newspapers from people who like to praise their local schools.

Do you, like me, suspect that these letter writers help their kids at home, then transfer the credit to the school ?

Do you feel that this helps create an unhelpful atmosphere around school improvements from these people?

Don't they realise that their home efforts make inadequate teaching systems look like they are working, when in fact the school results of those kids who have no help at home are showing the truth ?

The next time anyone praises a primary or infant school’s results, can they please point out in the letter how much help they gave their kids at home, and why they are transferring the credit to the school?
