Frying tonight for SIA
10:00am Tuesday 8th May 2012 in Letters
WANT to do something different while raising money where you live and work? Are fish and chips your favourite dish? Why not hold a fish and chip supper on Friday, May 18, while raising awareness of spinal cord injury and supporting Spinal Injuries Association’s (SIA) information and support services?
You can hold the event in your own home, at work or hold a larger supper at a local community centre.
SIA can provide a fundraising pack containing hints and tips, recipes, invitations and donation envelopes. By inviting seven friends and asking them to donate an additional £5 means you will raise at least £35 from the supper – we will also give you additional fundraising ideas to raise even more money too.
Last year saw more than 100 suppers taking part in England and Wales – we raised £6,000. That’s some £20,000 over three years.
The money raised will help the SIA’s work for those affected, as well as their families, from the moment spinal injury occurs for the rest of their lives by providing services and publications to enable and encourage them to lead independent lives.
