HOW disgusting, the lady vicar of Launton is patrolling her church for lead thieves. She is at risk of harm.
Why don’t Thames Valley Police do observation using special constables? Do they check scrap metal dealers’ books for lead sales and seller car registration numbers?
As a CID officer in Oxford 1964-67 this was always done and many villains arrested.
Maybe Thames Valley have too many targets, projects and working parties to do this!
It’s called initiative and commonsense, something they sadly lack.
