Fantastic foundry visit

You reported on the casting of the new bell for the repatriation memorial garden in Carterton (Oxford Mail, April 27 & 28). By coincidence, a party of us from Christ Church were on a visit to the Whitechapel Foundry on the 28th.
We saw the bell still in its mould cooling on the foundry floor. I enclose a picture of the bell.
The foundry is an incredible small and compact operation and we had to book a year in advance to get on a tour.
