Drivers cause crashes

Regarding your report ‘They call it Hell’s drive’ (last Monday’s Oxford Mail). I would like to comment on this.

The A420 Oxford to Swindon Road should not take the blame for the collisions. It is the drivers using it who are to blame.

The road is well-marked and signposted and I cannot understand why it should be a problem, apart from drivers going too fast, too close and lacking concentration.

So when a pedestrian gets run over in the road or a cyclist, why is it the car drivers fault and not the pedestrain or cyclist. Badly designed roads contribute to accidents, and Oxford County Council are the worse.
