All about Murdoch
10:10am Monday 30th April 2012 in Letters
Now we have heard it all. Does Rupert Murdoch takes us all for fools?
Does he really think he needed to ask when they all knew what he wanted?
For their part, the politicians knew what they needed to do to gain his support.
His employees, as well, knew what they had to do to keep their jobs – forget about integrity or the journalist’s code of conduct, which most would want to honour.
Let us hope the Murdochs have learned their lesson, but I doubt it.
After all, we will still have a Government run by the rich for the rich.
What is the point of our democracy when money rules?
JOHN FRAY, London Road, Wheatley

You mean the same way that our Prime Minister does John ?
Like the position he took regarding the freezing of 4% of pensioners around the world who get no increases at all. And his pension minister is even worse when he made moves to end this discrimination in 2008 when in opposition but now defends this appalling policy.
MP's abuse the priviledged position that they hold and should be above lying and making false statements in the defence of bad policies. Both David Cameron and Steve Webb should stand by their words when they say that they want fairness for pensioners.
When the NI fund is in such a surplus state - like 38 billion pounds - no you did'nt read that wrong, and 96 % of all pensioners get the annual uprating while the other 4 % get no increase ever just because of where they live, then it should be obvious to anyone - even a millionaire, that this is discrimination in it's worst form.
Like let's hit the elderly - they are easy targets. I note that a letter that appeared in here has not been answered by Mr Cameron either. Admitting you have been doing things wrong and putting them right takes a man. We are still waiting for that man.
