Doctor's departure leaves a gap
10:00am Wednesday 25th April 2012 in Letters
I know many others who have known Dr Mark Huckstep for many years. He has always been gracious and treats his patients with kindness and respect.
What more could you ask from a doctor? Why such hostility for the assertion of one’s faith with a patient’s consent? (Oxford Mail, April 10) Complaints against GPs have risen by 12 per cent according to recent NHS figures. Surely four complaints (two of which, I had been informed, were general in nature) over four years is exemplary in comparison to the statistics, as the number of complaints directed towards doctors tends to be much higher?
The gap left by Dr Huckstep will have to be filled, as he will surely be missed by those who know him.
SAMANTHA MANDRUP, Quarry Road, Headington, Oxford
