I recently witnessed this scene in Headington.
A cyclist, (cycling along), suddenly, a tut, an audible sigh, a shrug of the shoulders and roll of the eyes.
Mutters: “What am I supposed to do now?”
Despair you might think?
No, the cyclist was riding on the footpath, to be confronted by a car, also on the footpath.
In the meantime a pedestrian took evasive action and walked past the ensuing chaos on the road.
Progress?
