COUNCILLOR John Tanner is keen on praising his political master and his government (Oxford Mail letters, November 23), despite all the wrong they have caused by going off to fight in Iraq.

This followed lies put about by the Americans and their puppet Tony Blair.

There’s also the small problem of giving billions to the banks because of their poor decisions, and leading a country still in a very heavy recession while most of our European partners are coming out. And they are our European partners because Labour made sure Britain signed the Lisbon Treaty without the referendum it promised.

To save money, cuts unfortunately have to be made. No one wants them, but we have to get back on an even keel with the country’s finances.

Yet, Mr Tanner keeps blaming the Tory Party and urges everyone to vote Labour as the party you can trust.

I’m sure he’s aware that the Tory Party are on the verge of winning the next General Election. He can keep writing letters to the Oxford Mail saying how much better this country would be with a Labour government, but should wake up to reality, and realise we would be better off without a Labour Party.
