THE whole country must now be familiar with the name James Gray – the owner of Spindles Farm, Buckinghamshire.
The horrific cruelty and appalling suffering inflicted on horses and donkeys by this family (Oxford Mail, May 9) was shocking beyond words.
However, is it wise that Gray and the other convicted members of his family should be able to continue going about their daily business while awaiting sentence? As reported, he has inflicted cruelty on horses beyond comprehension.
And who is going to pay the RSPCA the £850,000 it had to spend caring for the 15 animals which it rescued from the farm?
Those convicted should face a stiff sentence and never be allowed to keep another living creature again. Justice must prevail.
