ANOTHER woe-is-us letter from John Tanner about what terrible things are about to happen to this country having voted to leave the Common Market.

How is it that Mr Tanner knows what is to happen to us when all the economists including the Governor of the Bank of England say that what will happen when this occurs will be pure guess work? Since the referendum every prediction has been altered and on all occasions in an upright direction.

Why can’t our politicians in local and central government get to together and all row in the same direction? If we did I am sure that we would get a better outcome than we will at the moment.

In 1939 our politicians aligned and we stood alone against Nazi Germany, to eventually free Europe, and is it not ironic that we now stand alone to free us from Europe which is led by Germany?

This is a great country and will no doubt be able to manage on our own to the benefit of Europe.

So I suggest John Tanner forgets about the EU and writes about things that give us the well feeling instead of the doom and gloom.
