I HAVE just witnessed county council leader Ian Hudspeth stating, on South Today, that “last week was half-term...many people have gone skiing”. This was in relation to a proposed cable car link in the city to alleviate congestion.
I am sorry, but most of us living in Oxford do not have the financial ability to pop abroad to ski for half-term due to the extortionate price of housing in the county.
As for the proposed cable link, I think that this will be a non-starter from the outset as environmentalists/traditionalists will not be very happy with the interference in the aesthetics of their local landscape.
