I MUST congratulate Abingdon Operatic Society for their refreshingly dynamic performance of the musical Annie.
The enthusiasm of children and adults alike, tear-jerking in places, but mostly wonderfully joyous entertainment. The children shone and became and characters they portrayed. Children and adults alike acted and sang beautifully. From the stage hands to the scene setting (which was spectacular), everything flowed.
The orchestra was first class. Director Rob Bertwhistle must have worked hours bringing everything together to absolute perfection. Even the dog put its own stamp on his part.
Well done to everyone, it was unmissable, a wonderful work of art. West End look out!
