WHY do these people who demonstrate against President Trump assume they are speaking for everyone?
Patty Dohle of the Witney Refugee Action Group made rather crass remarks in the Oxford Mail on Friday: “I don’t know why he thinks he can come here and dine like a king when nobody wants him."
Well I, for one, am quite happy for him to visit Blenheim during his proposed visit if he so wishes.
It seems that Donald Trump is quite a fan of Sir Winston Churchill and a desire to see where he was born doesn’t seem to me to be an unreasonable request.
After all, he is an American with a Scottish mother. Winston Churchill was an Englishman with an American mother.
The only person who can either grant or deny his request is The Duke of Marlborough.
And, as for the statement: “Trump just hasn't got any class. Plus he would clash with the furniture.”
I don’t think I’ve ever heard a more snobbish remark in my life.
