I SUSPECT that many people feel concern about the pressure put on the councils to build more houses, particularly when quite a few of these new builds will be purchased by London commuters.

With London still expanding, its house prices will continue to rise, making more of them too expensive for the majority of workers.

One has to wonder why so many people chose to set up business in London when there are places, particularly in the North, where land, house prices and labour costs are low.

Is there no-one in Government who can devise a plan, attractive enough to get some of these businesses to move?

Besides the chance of freeing up more homes in the South, travel should be easier; pollution would decrease and these could be less greenhouse gasses produced.
