Like many, the significant progress that The Vale Council & SODC have obviously been undertaking, in confidence until now, regarding this overall new development/ vision for Didcot was met with many opinions at its public launch on Monday evening.

However, it was gratifying to learn from Cllr Roger Cox’s statement to the meeting, (Deputy Leader of The Vale District Council) that all aspects of medical infrastucture required for this vision of landscaped expansion is confirmed as being delivered by the local clinical commissioning group. So, no shortage of doctors surgeries, hospital beds in the area need be of concern to the expanding local communities.

We therefore are all grateful for this important and necessary re-assurance given.

The army of the country’s leading consultants were present at the launch, now, one assumes, engaged jointly by Vale and SODC Councils’ to progress this vision must be a sound investment and re-assurance for everyone.

One of the consultant achitects worked on the Eden Project in Cornwall, so that must be good status, (and fees) for Didcot becoming “The Garden of Eden” in South Oxfordshire?
