I BEG to differ from the negative opinions in regard to the proposal for more grammar schools “ie. grammar schools did not achieve high academic standards” at least three of our prime ministers went to grammar schools proving what nonsense Bruce Ross-Smith is spouting on this assertion.
Grammar schools gave working class children a chance to reach the top of their potential – those in the main who oppose grammar schools send their children to private boarding schools to give them an advantage over the “peasants”, and are frightened that an increase in grammar schools would threaten their offsprings’ careers.
That includes the loony left obviously if children of similar IQ are together – grammar schools sharpen their game.
