BOTH sides of the EU ballot have their own reasons to try to convince us which way to vote.

I suspect there are some politicians with their fingers in the EU till who say “stay”, and those who want to leave are looking for a new UK “leave” till to get their fingers into.

As I understand it, even if we vote to leave, the EU’s own Lisbon Treaty rules allow the UK up to two years to renegotiate new terms of membership.

After this the UK can have another ballot based upon the new improved terms.

It would then take many more years for the UK to actually leave and become independent.

Even if we do leave we would still be able to trade with the EU on the same terms as China, USA and many other countries and they with us.
