I SUSPECT many people are getting fed up with all the arguments for staying in the EU or leaving.

There has been talk of more years of austerity if the electorate vote out.

When the Tories took over from Labour in 2010, the national debt was £811 billion and now after six years of Tory administration, the debt has risen to £1.5trillion.

So austerity will continue for many years whether we are in or out of the EU , and we are going to experience more cuts in public spending and local governments will be forced to keep chipping away at social services and pretty soon the poorer percentage of of the electorate will imagine they are living in a third world country.

With all these savings being made by the government where is the money going.

There is a cost of £6.2billion being spent on Britain’s two new aircraft carriers which many are criticising but we do need these ships as part of our national defence but the cost of these ships is little compared to the cost of HS2.

The present cost of building this white elephant is £42.6billion and the trains at 2011 prices were £7.5billion.

The taxpayers’ money to be wasted on HS2 would go a long way in helping the NHS and money that has been robbed from local governments could be repaid so social services for the vulnerable in our society can continue.
Norway, although not a member of the EU, still has to pay £1million a day into the EU coffers so they can still trade with the rest of Europe.

We are a larger country with a much larger population, so why can’t we just pay say £5million a day instead of £53 million a day and then the money saved would go a long way to putting this country back on its feet .

I have no faith in David Cameron trying to get us a better deal. I did vote for him in 2010 as I thought after Blair things could only get better but what a disappointment.

I didn’t vote Tory in 2015.

Where is all the money coming from to pay for all the houses that will continue to be needed with the continuing increase in the population.

There are a lot of houses being built but they are for the better off. What we need are hundreds of thousands of social houses for the workforce of this country to live in.
