OXFORDSHIRE County Council continues to insist that it has to make drastic budget cuts. But its accounts show that its estimated reserves for 2015-6 are £72,919,000.
Presumably that money is being saved for a rainy day. Yet that rainy day is here already.
Instead of making such terrible cuts, the council has a duty to spend at least some of that money to reduce the agony of such harsh and unnecessary spending reductions.
