THIS IS an open letters to Marcham parish councillors and Vanderbilt Homes.
A few months ago, world leaders met to discuss protecting our planet from various gases which threaten our very existence. We are constantly told our Green Belts are sacrosanct. Developers build on Green Belts, flood plains, rip up hedgerows, trees with wild abandon.
Birds have had their habitats destroyed. When trees are cut down, we are told some are infected; some not all.
People’s homes have been flooded, not always because houses are built on flood plains, but because of underground streams nearby.
One of the problems is developers roaming around countrysides eyeing up anything that is green so they can pull it up and cover it with concrete.
The councillors are told if you have not got a plan to build, we will get our friendly inspectors – you will then have to concede or it will cost you. So, man up and tell them. No chance!
