OUR excellent spies based at GCHQ have thwarted several terrorist attacks this year. Indeed it is our intelligence services that are keeping us safe. Indiscriminate bombing is not the answer to the Jihadi threat.

France has failed to protect its citizens due to its dire intelligence services. Now their Prime Minister is responding in a knee-jerk fashion to this intelligence failure by ordering the bombing of Syria.

It would be pointless for the UK to join this foolish mission.

The best approach is to increase the number of spies and to rely on our supreme intelligence services.

Furthermore, the Jihadis have captured many innocent people who they are using as human shields. Also children have been forced to join ISIS.

Bombs will kill many innocent victims and further inflame tensions. Recently Jihadi John was killed by a targeted drone attack.

This mission was achieved with the use of spies based on the ground.

If bombing takes place, many of our spies will also be killed. I hope our Government sees sense and does not join France in its bombing of Syria.
