There were ways around cutting the bus subsidies
IT’S a great shame that the Oxfordshire County Council is going to cut bus subsidies to vital services, which will affect older and vulnerable people in Oxfordshire the most.
If the government made the better- off pensioners pay their full fare, the poorer pensioners on the state pension could still board with bus passes. It makes economic and compassionate sense.
