MEP Catherine Bearder’s Brussels career was slightly disturbed by a contrived errand of mercy (September 16).
She and others of a similar ilk should – instead of regurgitating Merkel & Co’s latest social engineering project – attempt to orient themselves regarding immigrants and history of the Middle East, in order to enable them to offer better advice to constituents.
Today's Letters
An honest admission of immigration failure would be a start. Naturally this won’t happen because, ever faithful to the Brussels high command, they are determined to confuse us with puerile outpourings, which they then seek to buttress with a few undigested statistics.
But Catherine Bearder, et al, backed by EU, government and media hype, must have been shaken by widespread European opposition to so-called refugees entering Europe; and pro-immigrant demonstrations generally small-scale (like the one in Oxford), get lost in far greater anti-immigrant demonstrations.
It would, naturally, be pointless expecting Ms Bearder to change, but for those seeking a greater degree of enlightenment, might I suggest the following: www.gatestoneinstitute.org/6502/refugees-arab-states
