JUST north of the motorcycle shop in the main road in Kidlington is the bus stop layby for Oxford-bound buses.

This was recently resurfaced to a very high standard. Next to it is the bus stop with two potholes about one and a half inches deep. The men had a bucket of Tarmac left. I asked why they had not filled in these holes. The reply was: β€œIt’s not on our jobsheet mate.”

So, at some future date, an elderly person will get off a bus, trip and fall due to those potholes. Then a highway inspector will spray the holes with green paint andthey will be filled in. Surely prevention is the best form of cure.
