BEFORE the elections we were told the economy is on the up, unemployment was falling, and the Tories were ‘doing so well’.

So why within six weeks is the economy falling and unemployment figures rising. Funny how things change so quickly!

The economy was ridden on back of falling fuel prices, nothing to do with Mr Osborne as he led us to believe.

We are still being flooded by eastern Europeans who seem to do better from social services that we do, they now even get E111 cards so they can go back to their own country and get medical treatment and come back again and we pay for it.

Today's Letters

Well done Mr Cameron, that’s fair on us, I presume. He keeps telling us these people are so good for our economy. Nothing to do with cheap labour that puts British people out of work. This country has become scruffy and dirty with litter everywhere and moral standards at an all-time low. It’s impossible to walk anywhere these days without putting up with a barrage of foul language, spitting and people bumping into you without even an apology.

Why I worked for 47 years to support this country I don’t know. Heaven forbid I end up in a nursing home as the government will then savage my savings so I leave nothing for my family. Welfare state or sorry state.
